The ferry runs between Cedar Island-Ocracoke and Swan Quarter-Ocracoke will return to the normal Summer schedule effective Friday, June 26.

The U.S. Coast Guard has cleared the repaired vessel for service. Assistant Ferry Director Don Chapman praised the maintenance staff for getting the vessel back up and running quickly after it experienced damage to one of its main engines.
